Kellie Martin. Martin, a native of the United States is an American actor and actress in the film and television industries. She is most famous for her role as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher and Lucy Knight on the series ER. Her other notable roles include playing the title role in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin is the daughter of a department store purchaser and kindergarten teacher started her career acting at the age of seven. Her aunt, who was an nanny for Michael Landon's children helped Martin land a role in 1981's series "Father Murphy". Following her graduation from Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more serious. Her roles were significant on TV as well as big screens. Martin is, in addition to acting, she is also a skilled photographer and dancer. Her sister who passed away due to Lupus at age 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus National spokesperson.
